Chronometer No. 4084, sold on 15 March 1824, for the sum of 1500 Francs. Silver cased “garde-temps”watch.

Case: Three body, polished, demi-bassine et filets form, by Joly, No.399. Gilt metal cuvette signed: “Breguet et Fils, Horlogers de la Marine Royale, No. 4084”.

Dial: Mat silver, signed: “Breguet et Fils”, with Roman numerals, subsdiary seconds below “XII”. Blued-steel poires hands.

Movement: Gild brass, 21””, full plate caliber, relieved for the barrel and signed: “Breguet et Fils, Hrologers de la Marine Royale, No. 4084”, Fusee with chain and maintaining power, spring detent escapement, two-arm bimetallic compensation balance with trapezoidal weights and regulating screws of Earnshaw type, diamond end stone. Free sprung with blued-steel helical balance spring, with terminal curves.
