During the early 1960s, the color of the printed lettering on the GMT-Master was changed from gold to white.

This was carried out gradually and many watches are seen with both colours printed on the dial. Often, as here, the minute track is printed in gold whilst the rest of the printing is in white. At this stage the numerals printed on the date disk were black.
