Watch in brass

  • by

Watch in brass (anon.); France, last half 17th century; dia. 1½” (3.81 cm.).

The case is enamelled inside and out, and the movement decorated with pierced work; the pillars are of the ‘tulip’ type fashionable at the time. The balance is held by a bridge, not a cock.
